MEET TEACHER MIGUELA
Teacher Miguela is highly active, energetic, and fun with a lot of stamina. She’s super healthy and that’s why she looks young and feels young at heart! She loves to walk - we see her walking all the time to and from our centre with her heavy backpack. Even during the spring, fall, and winter months, she walks to and from our centre. After a hard day’s work, she walks to Clareview Recreation Centre to do Zumba. Even when we offer her a ride, she’d politely decline because she’d rather walk. So, when you see the kids moving and grooving to the beats, it’s because of Teacher Miguela’s influence and encouragement to wiggle and dance their hearts out. Like Teacher Enaam, Teacher Miguela is also always physically active with the children and can keep up with the children’s energies because she has all the stamina and strength and she can keep going and going and going forever. Like Teacher Babina, Teacher Miguela is also extremely creative. She also likes the arts and crafts and creating. She can think lighting fast on her feet about the different activities she knows her children would love and enjoy. She knows each of her children in and out by heart. She’s memorized their likes and dislikes and makes accommodations based on their individual preferences because she cares a whole lot about their growth and development. It matters to her a lot that the children are enjoying their “play” because that’s how the children learn. She can think outside of the box and make the most fun play experiences out of the most ordinary (recycled) things that others would never even think about but when she puts them altogether, it’s like magic, “VOILA”. Thank you so much for your many wonderful years of service, Teacher Miguela.
