This article Creating Trauma-Sensitive Classrooms (Statman-Weil, 2015) provides examples of what trauma might look like in children, and how it affects attachment and brain development. This article showcases how trauma might cause delays or challenges in language and communication, social-emotional regulation, play skills, and social skills. It also provides ideas for how to support children and families who have experienced trauma.
